WESTSIDE COUNSELING CENTER
Westside Counseling Center provides both prevention and drug/alcohol treatment services for men, women and youth. Fees are low-cost; Medi-Cal is accepted. If you are self-referred payments will be based on sliding scale. More specifically, the center offers the following outpatient drug-free services:
♦ Individual and group counseling
♦ Substance abuse assessment and education
♦ Crisis intervention
♦ Collateral services for significant others
♦ Random urine drug-testing
♦ Case management services, including referrals to community
♦ Women’s Narcotics Anonymous meeting on site
Sliding Scale Fees
Enrollment: $10
Weekly payments: $1-$4 (based on income)
Urine Analysis: $8-$12 per test
In addition to the traditional outpatient treatment services, there are various specialty programs offered by the Westside Counseling Center. These include the following:
Prevention/Outreach Program
The goal of this program is to build bridges between organizations, churches and other entities which may motivate, promote and create an empowered community. Our hope is to network with other community agencies to diminish substance abuse, violence and gang-related activity in the community.
CalWORKS Program
CalWORKS is an intensive outpatient rehabilitation program focusing on empowering men and women to adopt a healthy, drug-free life style so they can successfully enter into the workforce.
Participants must be enrolled, or willing to be enrolled, in the CalWORKS (GAIN) program and have a current or recent problem with substance abuse. Transportation and child care is available to qualified clients.
PC1000 Drug Diversion Program
PC1000 consists of a 16-week educationally-based program for first-time drug offenders. Participants must be court-ordered into this program. This is a fee-based program. Please call for details.
Teen Advantage Program
Is a support and mentoring program for teens which focuses on a more positive, constructive and drug-free way of living. The teens are educated on drug addiction, gang awareness, authority issues, recovery skills and goal-setting.
Parolee Services Network
This service is designed for persons on parole from the Department of Corrections who are ordered into substance abuse treatment, having not already received such services while incarcerated.
Youth Justice Center
Provides on-going, 16-week program directed towards educating youth about the uses and abuses of drugs and alcohol. The participants are at-risk youth who are referred either by Juvenile Court or through their probation officer. Teenagers can also attend at will or as referred by parent.
PERINATAL CARE NETWORK
About the Program
The Perinatal Care Network (PCN) of Inland Behavioral and Health Services, Inc. provides an effective, affordable and confidential Day Care Habilitative Treatment Program for mothers and their children who are born addicted to or affected by drug use. The Perinatal Care Network is a State Certified Drug Treatment Program.
The Goal
Providing rehabilitative services which will empower women to adopt a healthy, drug-free lifestyle and assist mother to develop effective parenting and coping skills.
Services
The Perinatal Care Network (PCN) Program provides a caring environment in which clients and their children are guided to health and recovery.
The Program Consists of:
♦ Intensive Counseling and Educational for mothers at 4 days a week for a minimum of 26 weeks, plus a 3-month Continuing Care Network (CCN) Program component (to help ensure continued success)
♦ Group and Individual Therapy
♦ Parenting Education; One-on-One Parenting Training/Monitoring of Mother-Child Interactions; possible visitation at the program for children who have DCS Family Reunification Plans
♦ Comprehensive Case Management Services
♦ Random drug screening to monitor and track recovery from substance use/abuse
♦ Referrals to community resources, including a woman’s NA meeting on site
♦ Collateral Service for significant others, as needed
♦ Free and developmentally oriented childcare for children under 5 years old (up to two children per client)
♦ Transportation provided up to the first 4-months, with possible option to extend
♦ GED preparation and vocational skill building
Who is Eligible?
♦ Women who are pregnant and/or women who are parenting children (5 years of age or younger) who were substance-exposed and/or drug effected.
♦ Women who want substance abuse treatment and have children who are at risk, including children who have DCS Family Reunification Service Plans
♦ Women who are parenting with impaired ability to care for their children, between the ages of 0-17, due to substance abuse.
♦ Women who are referred by DPSS, (CPS), GAIN, Dependency Drug Court, County Probation Department, Prop-36, Community Clinics/Agencies, Hospitals, and/or who are self referred
